The sewing workshop
Workshop open to members on Thursday afternoons.
Pre-registration before each visit: with Lydia at 07.83.84.26.12 for Tuesdays and with Marie at 06.32.03.35.82 for Thursdays

The "Recycling and Sewing" workshop is run by two volunteer facilitators. It offers activities based on:
THE REPAIR,
TRANSFORMATION AND CUSTOMIZATION
THE CREATION AND THEATRALIZATION OF RECYCLED TEXTILES
Several objectives are pursued: to become aware of what is done after a deposit (sorting, recycling, sale at affordable prices, etc.), to learn how to repair and transform a garment, to understand the mechanics and maintenance of a sewing machine, but also to encourage the expression and creativity of the participants.
The workshops are open to everyone, children and adults.

At the workshop, we welcome people who come to repair clothing or other items. Others create clothing, bags, and accessories based on their inspiration.
An introduction to textile development and creation is offered to employees on the course.
We also welcome children in IME who we introduce to a little sewing but above all we give them the means to develop their creativity.
Furthermore, once every 15 days we receive asylum seekers who find space and equipment at their disposal.
Cultural projects are also being carried out. This year, we collaborated with the PAHLM cultural association, the second-year vocational baccalaureate students from the MFR in Mane, and people with disabilities from RIEUTORT to stage a play on the theme: When ecology rhymes with poetry.
