The wood recycling workshop is located at the recycling center. It is dedicated to employees in integration programs four days a week. On Wednesdays, it is open to members and is led by a volunteer coordinator.
The aim is to use wood waste - pallets and old furniture - as a resource for creating new objects, particularly garden and home furniture.
Participatory workshops and collaborations are offered to partner associations and institutions.
We worked with the municipality of Cazères, the PAHLM association, the Maison Garonne, the Town Hall of Saint-Elix-le-Château, the Town Hall of Martres-Tolosane, the Maison des Solidarités in Montesquieu-Volvestre, the Town Hall of Roques-sur-Garonne, Cap Jeunes in Cazères, the town hall of Sana, schools and leisure centers of the Cœur de Garonne Community of Communes.
The workshop was completely renovated at the end of 2021 thanks to a government grant: the Departmental Integration Fund. We also benefited from support from France Active, the Legallais Foundation, and the Bruneau Foundation.
