A recycling center: What is it?
This name brings together organizations, federated in a national network, whose function is:
Protecting the environment by reducing waste and marketing goods that have a strong environmental benefit.
The development of a solidarity economy that gives priority to people over capital.
Cooperation in transparency for the establishment of a local service for waste prevention.
Actions implemented to achieve these objectives include:
Collection: this mainly involves separating bulky household waste, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Clothing Textiles, Household Linen, Shoes (TLC), but also Non-hazardous Industrial Waste (DIB), not forgetting furniture, toys, decoration and various objects.
Recovery: sorting, checking, cleaning, and repairing these objects to restore their full value. There's also a first level of dismantling non-reusable objects to send them to the appropriate recovery channels.
Sales: This represents the culmination of the reuse/re-employment process through the direct sale of low-cost items to all audiences. Partnerships are also established with social organizations to equip beneficiaries at low prices.
Raising environmental awareness among users of collection services, customers, places where reusable/reusable products are sold, younger generations, but also among all local residents, concerned as citizens and consumers by environmental and waste management issues.
